Working principle of car radiator
The radiator is placed at the front end of the car and is usually attached to other heat exchangers of the engine, such as the Intercooler or condenser.
The radiator is crucial for cooling internal combustion engine engines. This engine will conduct up to 4000 times of gasoline spray combustion per minute, and the temperature generated each time is up to about 1500 ° C. The coolant circulating in the cooling system jacket cools engine components, as well as pistons, valves, gaskets, gaskets, engine covers, and other components of the engine.
The constantly circulating coolant absorbs the heat of combustion. Heat exchange occurs between the radiator and the atmosphere.
Common faults and solutions of water tanks:
Fault cause:
(1) Radiator cracks or perforation leakage; Damaged and leaking inlet and outlet pipes; The switch is damaged and leaking liquid. The water jacket of the cylinder block is damaged, causing the loss of coolant.
(2) The fan drive belt is broken or adjusted too loose, and there is a lot of scale in the cylinder water jacket and radiator. The water pump is not working properly and the water circulation is not smooth.
(3) The radiator fins are overturned or the connecting hose is sucked out.
(4) The water temperature gauge and sensor are faulty.
Solution:
(1) Add cooling water in a timely manner and repair any leaks in the radiator. Use anti leakage agents to prevent leakage. If there is severe water leakage, the radiator should be replaced. If the water pipe cracks and ages, it should be replaced with a new one. If the switch is damaged and causes coolant leakage, the switch should be replaced.
(2) Adjust the tightness of the fan drive belt or replace it with a new one. Clean the cooling system, remove scale, and replace the water pump.
(3) Check the water outlet pipe, eliminate any suction and repair the radiator fins.
(4) Repair or replace the water temperature gauge and sensor.
